All blades and tools have full locking capability so they won’t come closed on your hand during use. Both of the knife blades come with thumb holes for one-handed opening for right-handed users and are accessible when the tool is folded, as are the saw and wood/metal file.

Our Hands-On Review
Opening the handles on the Charge TTi gives access to the pliers and the can/bottle opener, scissors, and bit driver. Leatherman is known for their high-quality pliers, and the Charge TTi is no exception. The pliers are not spring loaded but have a smooth mechanism with precision alignment of the needlenose tip for fine work. The ballistic nylon belt sheath allows the tool to be carried with the pliers open for easy access when needed. A premium quality leather sheath is also available. Proprietary interchangeable bit driver system uses flat bits that snap firmly into the bit holder. The sheath includes space for storing additional bits in a double-ended plastic bit holder – a nice touch with the Leatherman Charge TTi that is missing from many multitools on the market.
Adding Titanium to the Charge TTi doesn’t differentiate it much from the other models in the Charge lineup: the AL and ALX. The weight ‘savings’ over the ALX is only 0.1 oz but the main benefit of the TTi is the upgraded steel on the main blade S30V and the inclusion of the scissors and cutting hook. The knife blade on the Charge AL and ALX is 154CM steel, the ALX includes the cutting hook but not the scissors and the AL has the scissors but not the cutting hook.
