Our Hands On Review
Gerber touts the pry bar/nail puller functionality of the Shard keychain tool – but we ask is there really a need? At less than 3″ length the leverage is only enough to remove the smallest nails. We can’t remember the last time we wanted a pocket tool with this function.
The pry bar adds bulk to your pocket because the curve means it doesn’t lay flat with your keys. The bottle opener is functional. The triangle Phillips and flat screwdriver tips will work in a pinch. Gerber is generous in calling the lanyard hole a function instead of a feature.
There are better options available that are more functional. Spend your money on a tool with better utility and that is more comfortable to carry.
